Abstract

Kejadian premenstrual syndrome (PMS) sudah menjadi salah satu gangguan yang paling umum di kalangan wanita sebelum menstruasi. Kebanyakan wanita masih memandang bahwa PMS dianggap hal remeh sebatas pada badmood yang biasa dialami wanita. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran perceived severity kejadian premenstrual syndrome pada mahasiswi tingkat 3 D3 keperawatan di ITSK RS dr. Soepraoen Malang. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif. Populasinya semua mahasiswi tingkat 3 D3 Keperawatan ITSK RS dr. Soepraoen Malang sejumlah 178 mahasiswi. Jumlah sampel 40 responden dengan teknik sampling Accidental Sampling. Variabel yang diteliti adalah perceived severity kejadian premenstrual syndrome. Instrument penelitian yaitu menggunakan kuesioner google form. Analisa data menggunakan univariat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 3 Juni 2022. Hasil penelitian didapatkan perceived severity kejadian premenstrual syndrome pada mahasiswi hampir seluruhnya dengan kategori sedang yaitu 38 responden (95%) dan sebagian kecil dengan kategori berat 2 responden (5%). Hasil ini dilatar belakangi oleh usia, usia awal menstruasi (menarche), dan rata – rata durasi menstruasi. Melihat dari hasil penelitian, diperlukan suatu intervensi untuk meningkatkan persepsi mereka tentang keparahan yang dirasakan kejadian Premenstrual syndrome agar mahasiswi dapat melakukan pencegahan kejadian Premenstrual Syndrome. ABSTRACT Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) has become one of the most common disorders among women before menstruation. Most women still think that PMS is considered a trivial thing limited to the bad mood that women usually experience. This study aims to determine the description of the perceived severity of the incidence of premenstrual syndrome in level 3 D3 nursing students at ITSK RS dr. Soepraoen Malang. The design of this research is descriptive. The population is all level 3 D3 Nursing students at ITSK RS dr. Soepraoen Malang with a total of 178 female students. The number of samples is 40 respondents with accidental sampling technique. The variable studied is the Perceived Severity of Premenstrual Syndrome. The research instrument is using a google form questionnaire. Data analysis using univariate. This research was conducted on June 3, 2022. The results showed that almost all of the Perceived Severity of Premenstrual Syndrome in female students were in the moderate category, namely 38 respondents (95%) and a small portion with the severe category of 2 respondents (5%). These results are based on age, age at the start of menstruation (menarche), and the average duration of menstruation. Looking at the result of the study, an intervention is needed to increase their perception of the perceived severity of Premenstrual Syndrome so that female students can prevent the occurrence of Premenstrual Syndrome.
