Abstract
Salah satu masalah kesehatan yang dihadapi balita adalah konstipasi yaitu suatu keadaan yang ditandai oleh kesulitan defekasi dan konsistensi BAB menjadi keras. Pengetahuan ibu tentang konstipasi dapat memberikan perlindungan kepada balita. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan ibu tentang konstipasi pada balita di Posyandu Melati Kelurahan Sawojajar Kecamatan Kedungkandang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua ibu yang memiliki balita di Posyandu Melati kelurahan Sawojajar Kecamatan Kedungkandang sejumlah 30 ibu. Sampling menggunakan total sampling. Variabel penelitian adalah pengetahuan ibu tentang konstipasi pada balita. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tanggal 09 juni 2022. Instrument penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuesioner. Analisis data yang digunakan univariat atau distribusi frekuensi. Hasil penelitian didapatkan sebagian besar responden berpengetahuan baik yaitu 17 responden (57%), hampir setengahnya responden berpengetahuan cukup yaitu 11 responden (37%), dan sebagian kecil berpengetahuan kurang yaitu 2 responden (7%). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diharapkan petugas kesehatan posyandu memberikan penyuluhan dan edukasi kepada ibu agar lebih mengetahui dan memahami tentang penatalaksaan konstipasi yang dapat terjadi pada balita sewaktu-waktu. ABSTRACT One of the health problems faced by toddlers is constipation, a condition characterized by difficulty defecation and bowel consistency becomes hard. Mother’s knowledge about constipation can provide protection to toddlers. The purpose of the study was to describe the mother’s knowledge about constipation in toddlers at Posyandu Melati, Sawojajar Village, Kedungkandang District. The research is a quantitative research with a descriptive research design. The population in this study were all mothers who had children under five at Posyandu Melati, Sawojajar Village, Kedungkandang District a total of 30 mothers. Sampling used total sampling. The research variable was Mother’s knowledge about constipation in toddlers. This research was conducted on date June 9, 2022. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. Data analysis used univariate or frequency distribution. The result showed that most of the respondents had good knowledge, namely 17 respondents (57%), almost half of the respondent had sufficient knowledge namely 11 respondents (37%), and a small partion had less knowledge, namely 2 respondents (7%). Based on the results of the study it is expected that Posyandu health workers will provide counselling an education to mothers so that they know and understand more about the management of constipation that can occur in toddlers at any time.
