Abstract
ABSTRAK Salah satu faktor yang dapat menimbulkan stres akademik adalah sistem pembelajaran yang diterapkan di sekolah. Penerapan sistem half day school (sekolah setengah hari) dan menjadi full day school (waktu sekolah 8 jam/hari) dapat menimbulkan stres akademik tersendiri bagi siswa. Banyaknya kegiatan atau waktu yang lebih lama disekolah dapat menimbulkan stres akademik karena pola pikir anak yang tidak dapat mengendalikan situasi, cenderung mengalami stres lebih besar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa gambaran tingkat stres akademik siswa full day school pada Kelas VIII di SMP Wahid Hasyim Dinoyo. Desain penelitian yang digunakan deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas 8 SMP Wahid Hasyim Dinoyo. Sampling yang digunakan ini adalah Proporsional Random Sampling dengan 49 sampel. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan lembar kuesioner. Hasil penelitian didapatkan tingkat stres akademik pada siswa full day school sebagian besar 35 siswa (72,9%) kriteria sedang, sebagian kecil 4 siswa (8,3%) kriteria berat. Tingkat stres ini dipengaruhi oleh pola pikir, pelajaran lebih padat, tekanan untuk berprestasi, dorongan status sosial, orang tua saling berlomba. Diharapkan penelitian ini dapat membantu guru atau orang tua dalam mengontrol dan mengoptimalkan pola pikir, kepribadian dan keyakinan untuk menghilangkan atau mengurangi stres yang dirasakan siswa akibat tekanan. Kata kunci : tingkat stres akademik, siswa full day school. ABSTRACT One of the factors that can cause academic stress is the learning system applied at school. The application of the Hafl day school system (half-day school) and being full day school (8 hours of school time / day) can create academic stress for students. The number of activities or longer time at school can cause academic stress because the mindset of children who cannot control the situation tends to experience greater stress. The purpose of this research is to analyze the description of the academic stress level of full day school students in Class VIII at Wahid Hasyim Dinoyo Middle School. The research design used descriptive. The population in this study were all eighth graders of Wahid Hasyim Dinoyo Middle School. The sampling used Proportional Random Sampling with 49 samples. Data collection usid questionnaire. The results showed that academic stress levels in full day school students were mostly 35 students (72.9%) medium criteria, a small percentage of 4 students (8.3%) criteria were severe. This level of stress was influenced by mindset, more intense learning, pressure for achievement, encouragement of social status, parents competing with each other. It is hoped that this study can help teachers or parents in controlling and optimizing the mindset of personality and beliefs to eliminate or reduce the stress felt by students due to pressure.
