Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 mempengaruhi sistem perkuliahan, yang awalnya dengan metode tatap muka menjadi metode daring. Karena adanya keterbatasan untuk berkomunikasi secara tatap muka ketika pandemi Covid-19 sedang berlangsung maka membuat sebagian besar mahasiswa memiliki rasa ketakutan kehilangan momen dan tren, hal ini biasanya dikenal dengan istilah Fear of Missing Out (FoMO). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) pada mahasiswa Tingkat I Prodi D3 Keperawatan ITSK RS dr. Soepraoen. Desain penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasinya adalah seluruh mahasiswa Tingkat I Prodi D3 Keperawatan ITSK RS dr. Soepraoen sejumlah 145 mahasiswa. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah consecutive sampling dengan besar sampel 73 responden. Variabel yang diteliti yaitu Fear of Missing Out (FoMO). Hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan analisis univariat. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner Fear of Missing Out Scale (FoMOs) yang disebarkan melalui google form pada tanggal 19-21 Juni 2022. Data hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden mengalami FoMO sedang sebanyak 51 responden (70%) dan hampir setengahnya mengalami FoMO tinggi sebanyak 22 responden (30%). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut diharapkan mahasiswa dapat menemukan mekanisme koping yang baik sehingga dapat mencegah munculnya Fear of Missing Out. ABSTRACT .The Covid-19 pandemic has affected the education system, from a face-to-face method to an online method. Because of the limitations to communicate face-to-face when the Covid-19 pandemic is ongoing, it makes most college students have a fear of missing moments and trends, this is usually known as Fear of Missing Out (FoMO). The purpose of this study is to determine the description of Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) in 1st level college students of Vocational Nursing program ITSK RS dr. Soepraoen. The quantitative design of this research used descriptive quantitative with univariate data analysis. The population are all 1st level college students of Vocational Nursing program ITSK RS dr. Soepraoen numbered 145 people. The sampling technique used consecutive sampling with a sample size of 73 respondents. The research variable is Fear of Missing Out (FoMO). The instrument used a questionnaire via google form which was conducted on 19-21 June 2022. The results of this study found that Fear of Missing Out level 1 college students of Vocational Nursing program ITSK RS dr. Soepraoen mostly experienced moderate FoMO as many as 51 respondents (70%) and almost half experienced high FoMO as many as 22 respondents (30%). Based on the results of the study, it is expecting that college students can find a good individual coping therefore they can prevent the case of Fear of Missing Out.
