Abstract
Pola asuh orang tua yang mempunyai Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus (ABK) penyandang Tunagrahita mengalami keterbatasan sumber informasi mengenai masalah anak, sehingga diperlukan pola asuh yang sesuai bagi karakteristik anak penyandang Tunagrahita. Berdasarkan data Kemenkes (2013) prevalensi anak berkebutuhan khusus sebanyak 6,2%. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Gambaran Pola Asuh orang Tua Yang Mempunyai Keluarga Berkebutuhan Khusus (Tunagrahita) Di SLB Islam Yasindo Kecamatan Tumpang Kabupaten Malang”. Desain penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Populasinya seluruh orang tua yang mempunyai anak Tunagrahita sejumlah 30 orang. Teknik sampling total sampling dengan besar sampel 30 responden. Variabel yang diteliti adalah pola asuh orang tua. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tanggal 6-20 Februari 2021. Analisa data yang digunakan adalah analisa data univariat. Hasil Penelitian didapatkan pola asuh orangtua sebagian besar yaitu 17 orang (57%) menerapkan pola asuh demokratis, hamper setengahnya 11 orang (37%) menerapkan pola asuh permisif dan sebagian kecil 2 orang (6%) menerapkan polah asuh otoriter. Hal ini disebabkan oleh faktor yang mempengaruhi pola asuh orang tua yaitu usia, jenis kelamin, jumlah anak, penghasilan, pekerjaan, pendidikan, tipe keluarga, dan hubungan dengan anak. Adanya masalah orang yang mempunyai ABK tunagrahita diharapkan dapat lebih memperhatikan dalam menerapkan pola asuh yang tepat pada anak sesuai dengan kondisi anak dan diharapkan orang tua selalu memberikan pendidikan yang baik, meningkatkan sikap yang positif dan memberikan semangat dan dorongan kepada anak agar dapat menggali potensi anak. ABSTRACTS Parenting patterns of parents who have children with special needs (ABK) with mental retardation experience limited sources of information about children's problems, so that appropriate parenting patterns are needed for the characteristics of children with mental retardation. Based on data from the Ministry of Health (2013), the prevalence of children with special needs is 6.2%. The purpose of this study is to find out the description of parenting patterns of parents who have families with special needs (Tunagrahita) at SLB Islam Yasindo, Tumpang District, Malang Regency. The design of this research is descriptive. The population is all parents who have children with mental retardation as many as 30 people. Sampling technique is total sampling with a sample size of 30 respondents. The variable studied was parenting style. This research was conducted on 6-20 February 2021. The data analysis used was univariate data analysis. The results of the study found that most of the parenting patterns, namely 17 people (57%) applied democratic parenting, almost half of them 11 people (37%) applied permissive parenting and a small portion of 2 people (6%) applied authoritarian parenting. This is caused by factors that influence parenting, namely age, gender, number of children, income, occupation, education, family type, and relationships with children. The problem is that people who have mental retardation are expected to pay more attention to implementing appropriate parenting styles for children according to the child's condition and parents are expected to always provide good education, increase positive attitudes and provide enthusiasm and encouragement to children in order to explore their child's potentia
