Abstract
ABSTRAK Lanjut usia akan mengalami perubahan dan penurunan kondisi fisik yang akan mempengaruhi penurunan konsep diri. Oleh karena itu kebanyakan lansia susah berinteraksi dengan orang di sekitarnya sehingga lansia diantarkan keluarganya untuk tinggal di panti akhirnya menimbulkan pikiran lansia yang negatif, yang mempengaruhi konsep diri pada lansia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran konsep diri pada lansia di Panti Wedha Pangestii Lawang. Desain Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif. Populasi penelitian seluruh lansia di Panti Werdha Pangesti Lawang sejumlah 49. Metode sampling menggunakan purposive sampling sejumlah sampel 30. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tanggal 21 Mei 2019 di Panti Werdha Pangesti Lawang. Variabel yang diteliti adalah Konsep diri pada lansia. Data yang diambil menggunakan lembar kuisioner. Analisa data yang digunakan Ujii statistik univariate dan disajikan dengan tabel distribusi frekuensi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan konsep diri lansia sebagian besar yaitu 18 lansia (60%) mempunyai konsep diri yang positif dan hampir setengahnya 12 lansia (40%) mempunyai konsep diri yang negatif. Dari hasil ini penelitian ini diharapkan lansia mampu bersyukur, menerima keadaannya, mengikuti kegiatan-kegiatan yang sudah di jadwalkan pihak panti, mampu berkomunikasi dengan antar teman, saling membantu mendukung antar teman dan bertukar pendapat. karena adanya dukungan, kegiatan, pendekatan dan komunikasi mampu membantu masalahnya dan lansia tetap memiliki konsep diri yang positif. Kata Kunci: Konsep Diri, Lansia ABSTRACT The elderly will experience changes and decrease in physical conditions that will affect the decline in self-concept. Therefore, most elderly people find it difficult to interact with the people around them so that the elderly being brought by their families to live in an orphanage eventually leads to negative thoughts of the elderly, which affect the self-concept of the elderly. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of self concept in the elderly at Pangestii Lawang Nursing Home. This research design used descriptive research design. The study population was all elderly in Pangesti Lawang Nursing Home with a total of 49. The sampling method used purposive sampling of a sample of 30. This study was conducted on May 21, 2019 at the Panti Werdha Pangesti Lawang. The variables studied were self-concept in the elderly. Data taken using questionnaire sheets. Data analysis used Test univariate statistics and presented with tables of frequency distribution. The results of this study show that the self-concept of the elderly is mostly 18 elderly (60%) who have a positive self-concept and almost half of the 12 elderly (40%) have a negative self-concept. From these results, we will be able to accept the situation. Nurses are expected to provide support to the elderly, involve the elderly to participate in activities, improve the approach to the elderly and communication to the elderly, because of support, activities, approaches and communication can still have a positive self-concept.
