Abstract
ABSTRAK Orang tua yang memiliki anak dengan keterbatasan dalam pertumbuhan dan perkembangan, memiliki tugas dan tekanan psikologis yang lebih besar dalam membesarkan dan mengasuh anaknya. Perhatian besar yang dibutuhkan oleh anak dengan keterbatasan dalam jangka waktu yang lama akan berdampak pada kesehatan psikologis dari orang tua, Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui gambaran tingkat depresi orang tua yang memiliki anak tuna grahita di SDLBN Kedung Kandang kota malang. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan Deskriptif. Populasinya adalah seluruh orang tua yang memiliki anak tuna grahita. Metode sampling yang digunakan adalah total sampling dengan jumlah sampling sebanyak 25 orang tua yang memiliki anak tuna grahita di SDLBN Kedung Kandang kota Malang. Variabel yang diteliti adalah tingkat depresi. Data penelitian diambil menggunakan kuesioner. Setelah data terkumpul kemudian dilakukan pengolahan data melalui tahap editing, tabulating. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar dengan tingkat depresi normal sebanyak 13 responden (52%), sebagian kecil dengan tingkat depresi berat 5 responden (20%) dan sebagian kecil dengan tingkat depresi ringan 2 responden (8%). Tingkat depresi pada orang tua yang memiliki anak tuna grahita di pengaruhi oleh faktor jenis kelamin, usia, pendidikan, pekerjaan.Oleh karena itu diharapkan orang tua agar dapat mengerti kondisi depresi orang tua yang memiliki anak tuna grahita. Kata Kunci: Tingkat Depresi Orang Tua, Anak Tuna Grahita ABSTRACT Parents who have children with limitations in growth and development have greater psychological tasks and pressure in raising and caring for their children. Great attention needed by children with limitations for a long period of time will have an impact on the psychological health of parents. The aim of the study was to describe the level of depression of parents who have mentally disabled children in SDLBN Kedung Kandang, Malang. The design of this study used descriptive. The population was all parents who have mentally disabled children. The sampling method used was Purposive Sampling with a total sampling of 25 parents who have mentally disabled children in SDLBN Kedung Kandang Malang. The variables studied were Depression Levels. The research data was taken using a questionnaire. After the data was collected then data processing is done through the editing stage, tabulating. The results of the study showed that most of the normal depression levels were 13 respondents (52%), a small proportion severe depression levels of 5 respondents (20%)and a small proportion with mild depression levels of 2 respondents (8%). The level of depression in parents who have mentally disabled children is influenced by factors of gender, age, education, occupation. Therefore, it is expected parents to be able to understand the depressed condition of parents who have children with intellectual disabilities.
