Abstract
Lansia yang menderita demensia akan bergantung pada bantuan keluarga dalam melakukan aktivitas sehari hari, sehingga memicu tekanan bagi keluarga. Hal itu dapat menyebabkan stres bagi keluarga yang merawat lansia dengan demensia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat stres keluarga lansia penderita demensia di RW 02 Desa Wonokasian Kecamatan Turen Kabupaten Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu 45 orang yang memiliki lansia. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu keluarga lansia penderita demensia yang memenuhi kriteria penelitian sebanyak 43 orang. Sampling yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada 25 Mei-08 Juni 2022 dengan variabel penelitian tingkat stres keluarga lansia penderita demensia, dengan instrumen penelitian yaitu kuesioner DASS dan analisa data univariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hampir setengah responden mengalami stres ringan sebanyak 21 orang (49%), sebagian kecil responden mengalami stres sedang sebanyak 10 orang (23%), sebagian kecil responden tidak mengalami stres sebanyak 8 orang (19%), sebagian kecil responden mengalami stres parah sebanyak 4 orang (9%), hal ini dipengaruhi oleh jenis kelamin, usia, pendidikan, pekerjaan, dan status pernikahan. Diharapkan keluarga lansia mampu melakukan manajemen stres yang baik selama merawat lansia dengan demensia. ABSTRACT Elderly who suffer from dementia will depend on family assistance in carrying out daily activities, thus triggering pressure for the family. This can be stressful for families caring for elderly people with dementia. This study aims to describe the stress level of elderly families with dementia in RW 02 Wonokasian Village, Turen District, Malang Regency. This study uses a quantitative descriptive design. The population in this study were 45 people who had elderly. The sample in this study was the elderly family with dementia who met the research criteria as many as 43 people. The sampling used is purposive sampling. This research was conducted on 25 May-08 June 2022 with the research variable being the stress level of the elderly family with dementia, with the research instrument being the DASS questionnaire and univariate data analysis. The results showed that almost half of the respondents experienced mild stress as many as 21 people (49%), a small proportion of respondents experienced moderate stress as many as 10 people (23%), a small proportion of respondents did not experience stress as many as 8 people (19%), a small proportion of respondents experienced severe stress as many as 4 people (9%), this is influenced by gender, age, education, occupation, and marital status. It is hoped that elderly families will be able to carry out good stress management while caring for the elderly with dementia.
