Abstract
Rekam medis adalah dokumen atau arsip penting yang berisi informasi tentang pasien, seperti catatan kesehatan, pemeriksaan, pengobatan, tindakan, dan pelayanan lainnya. Fasilitas kesehatan harus memelihara rekam medis untuk memfasilitasi perawatan pasien, mematuhi persyaratan hukum dan peraturan, memperoleh akreditasi, penelitian, pendidikan, dan materi penggantian, dan administrasi fasilitas pendukung. Namun, kurangnya ruang yang layak dan memadai, anggaran yang tidak mencukupi, dan sumber daya manusia yang tidak mencukupi adalah beberapa masalah yang terjadi dalam retensi rekam medis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana penerapan retensi rekam medis dalam rangka meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan dokumen kesehatan. Tinjauan pustaka, atau yang dikenal sebagai tinjauan pustaka, digunakan sebagai alat analisis. Temuan tersebut mengungkapkan, dari berbagai pilihan penerapan retensi rekam medis, digitalisasi rekam medis dinilai lebih efektif dalam mencapai integrasi pengelolaan dokumen kesehatan. Abstract Medical records are essential documents or archives that contain information about patients, such as their health records, examinations, medications, actions, and other services. Health facilities should maintain medical records in order to facilitate patient care, comply with legal and regulatory requirements, obtain accreditation, research, education, and reimbursement materials, and the administration of supporting facilities. However, lack of proper and adequate space, insufficient budget, and insufficient human resources are some of the issues that occur in medical record retention. The aim of this study is to analyze how medical record retention is implemented in order to enhance the efficiency of health document management. A literature review, or what is known as a literature review, was used as the analysis tool. The findings revealed that, of the various options for implementing medical records retention, digitizing medical records was considered to be more effective in achieving health document management integration.
