Abstract

ABSTRACT Introduction Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) or chronic kidney disease (CKD) is defined as abnormalities in the structure and function of the kidneys that occur > 3 months which has implications for health. Data in Indonesia shows that in 2014 the number of terminal kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis increased by 28,882 compared to 2010 by 14,833 (Indonesian Nephrological Association, 2014). The purpose of this study was to obtain data on the treatment patterns of hemodialysis patients for medication adherence in Malang "X" Hospital. This research design is observational based on the results of a questionnaire for chronic kidney disease patients in the Hemodialysis Installation of Hospital "X" Malang in April - September 2019. The method used is correlative to find out the Correlation of Chronic Kidney Failure Treatment Patterns to Compliance in Chronic Kidney Failure Patients in Hemodialysis Installation. The research instrument was a data collection sheet and a Morisky Medication Adherence (MMAS-8) questionnaire. Data will be analyzed and described based on MMAS-8 criteria. The Results of the study based on the Chi-square test the number of drugs received by respondents with compliance taking medication respondents obtained (p = 0.02). Conclusion In this study showed a significant relationship between the amount of drugs received by respondents with the level of compliance taking respondent's medication. The more types of drugs received the lower the level of patient compliance.
