Abstract
Pestisida sangat erat kaitannya dengan pertanian. Pestisida memiliki dampak negative bagi kesehatan karena dapat mengalami keracunan. Keracunan pestisida kemungkinan salah satu penyebabnya adalah tidak menggunakan alat pelindung diri masker pada saat melakukan penyemprotan pestisida. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui gambaran motivasi petani dalam penggunaan alat pelindung diri masker pada saat penyemprotan pestisida di RT4 RW 2 Dusun Selowinangun Desa Cowek Kecamatan Puwodadi Kabupaten Pasuruan. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Populasinya adalah petani di RT 4 RW 2 Dusun Selowinangun Desa Cowek Kecamatan Purwodadi Kabupaten Pasuruan. Sampel berjumlah 20 orang. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah total sampling. Alat ukurnya menggunakan kuesioner. Analisa data menggunakan analisis univariat. Penelitian dilakukan pada tanggal 3-8 Juni 2020. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan hampir seluruhnya yaitu 19 petani (95%) dengan kategori memiliki motivasi sedang hal ini disebakan oleh faktor usia dengan kategori yang sudah memasuki dewasa akhir dan lansia awal, pendidikan dan pendapatan yangrendah dan sebagian kecil yaitu 1 petani (5%) dengan kategori memiliki motivasi kuat hal ini sebabkan oleh faktor usia yang masih memasuki dewasa awal, pendidikan yang tinggi dan penghasilan menengah dan tidak satupun (0%) petani dengan kategori memiliki motivasi lemah. Melihat hasil penelitian ini, diharapkan petani di RT 4 RW 2 Dusun Selowinangun Desa Cowek yang memiliki motivasi sedang dapat meningkatkan motivasinya menjadi lebih kuat sedangkan petani yang memiliki motivasi kuat dan mempertahankannya dan mampu menerapkangerakan wajib masker pada saat penyemprotan pestisida . ABSTRACTS Pesticides are very closely related to agriculture. Pesticides have a negative impact on health because they can experience poisoning. Pesticide poisoning is probably one of the reasons for not using personal protective masks when spraying pesticides. The purpose of this study was to find out the motivation of farmers in the use of personal protective masks when spraying pesticides in RT4 RW 2, Selowinangun Hamlet, Cowek Village, Puwodadi District, Pasuruan Regency. The research design used descriptive. The population was farmers in RT 4 RW 2, Selowinangun Hamlet, Cowek Village, Purwodadi District, Pasuruan Regency. The sample was 40 people. The sampling used total sampling. The measurement tool used a questionnaire. Data analysis used univariate analysis. The study was conducted on 3 - 8 June 2020. The results of the study showed that almost all 19 farmers (95%) were categorized as having moderate motivation, this was due to the age factor with the category who had entered late adulthood and early elderly, low education and income and a small proportion, namely 1 farmer (5%) with the category has a strong motivation, this is because the factor of age is still entering early adulthood, high education and middle income and none (0%) of the farmers with the category have weak motivation. Seeing the results of this study, it is expected that farmers in RT 4 RW 2 of Selowinangun Hamlet in Cowek Village who have medium motivation can increase their motivation to become stronger while farmers who have strong motivation and maintain it and are able to apply mandatory masks when spraying pesticides.
