Abstract
Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Populasinya seluruh lansia yang memiliki masalah personal hygiene di RW 09 Kelurahan Kesatrian 60 orang. Sampling yang digunakan purposive sampling. Dengan sampel lansia yang memiliki masalah personal hygiene di RW 09 Kelurahan Kesatrian sejumlah 25 orang. Variabel penelitian yaitu faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku personal hygiene. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu kuesioner. Analisa data yang digunakan analisis univariat. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tanggal 12 – 13 Juni 2022. Berdasarkan penelitian tentang faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku personal hygiene pada lansia didapatkan bahwa faktor body image mempengaruhi sebanyak 24 orang (96%), faktor kondisi fisik/psikis sebanyak 20 orang (80%), faktor pengetahuan sebanyak 23 orang (92%), faktor kebiasaan sebanyak 22 orang (88%), faktor status sosial ekonomi sebanyak 25 orang (100%). Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi informasi dan motivasi bagi lansia untuk meningkatan perilaku personal hygiene dengan mandi dan sikat gigi, memotong kuku jika panjang. Apabila lansia tidak bisa melakukan personal hygiene disarankan untuk meminta bantuan pada keluarga. ABSTRACT Changes that occur in the elderly can lead to disturbances in fulfilling personal hygiene needs, so that they can increase dependence and require special attention to personal hygiene in the elderly. Personal hygiene in the elderly is influenced by body image factors, social practices, socioeconomic status, knowledge, culture, habits, physical/psychic conditions. The purpose of the study was to describe the factors that influence personal hygiene behavior in the elderly in RW 09, Kesatrian Village. The research design used is descriptive. The population is all elderly who have personal hygiene problems in RW 09 Kesatrian Village 60 people. The sampling used was purposive sampling. With a sample of the elderly who have personal hygiene problems in RW 09, Kesatrian Village, there are 25 people. Research variables are factors that influence personal hygiene behavior. The instrument used is a questionnaire. Data analysis used univariate analysis. This research was conducted on 12-13 June 2022. Based on research on factors that influence personal hygiene behavior in the elderly, it was found that body image factors affected as many as 24 people (96%), physical/psychic condition factors were 20 people (80%), knowledge factor was 23 people (92%), habit factors as many as 22 people (88%), socioeconomic status factors as many as 25 people (100%). This research is expected to be information and motivation for the elderly to improve personal hygiene behavior by bathing and brushing teeth, cutting nails if they are long. If the elderly cannot do personal hygiene, it is advisable to ask for help from the family.
