Abstract

Diabetus Melitus (DM) tidak dapat disembuhkan tetapi glukosa darah dapat dikendalikan melalui 4 pilar penatalaksanaan: edukasi, diet, olah raga dan obat-obatan. Banyak cara yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi penyakit DM selama ini, namun tetap belum dapat menekan prevalensi angka kejadian penyakit DM saat ini karena penanganan yang kurang maksimal, pengobatan jangka panjang serta efek samping dari terapi farmakologis (OAD) yang harus dikonsumsi seumur hidup belum sepenuhnya diterima serta sulitnya membuat penderita taat pada pengobatan jangka panjang (Vernanda, 2014). Selain itu pengobatan non farmakologis juga ikut andil dalam penanganan penyakit diabetes mellitus ini, produk-produk herbal banyak disarankan oleh tim medis dalam menangani penyakit DM untuk mencegah terjadinya komplikasi, salah satunya yaitu teh/rebusan daun tin yang dapat mengontrol kadar gula dalam darah, Hal ini sesuai dengan anjuran yang dikeluarkan oleh The American Diabetes Association, (Dewi, 2013). Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu menganalisa pengaruh pemberian teh daun tin terhadar kadar gula darah pada penderita DM. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasy eksperimen dengan pendekatan pre-post test with control group design. Metode sampling purposive dengan jumlah sampel 26 partisipan yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi. Variabel penelitian pengaruh pemberian teh daun tin dan kadar gula darah diukur dengan menggunakan alat ukur glukosa tes menggunakan stik dengan merek easy touch 3 in 1. Uji statistik yang digunakan adalah Wilcoxon dengan taraf kepercayaan 95%. Hasil perubahan nilai kadar gula darah acak rata-rata antara sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan pada kelompok perlakuan yaitu -86,7 mg/dl dan kelompok kontrol yaitu +17 mg/dl, dengan nilai Z -3,181 dengan nilai p=0,001. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kandungan yang ada dalam teh daun tin berpotensi membantu menurunkan kadar gula darah pada pederita DM. ABSTRACT Diabetes Mellitus (DM) cannot be cured but blood glucose can be controlled through 4 management pillars: education, diet, exercise and medicine. Many ways have been done to overcome DM disease so far, but it has not been able to reduce the prevalence of the current DM disease due to less optimal treatment, long-term treatment and side effects from pharmacological therapy (OAD) that must be consumed for a lifetime have not been fully accepted the difficulty of making sufferers obedient to long-term treatment (Vernanda, 2014). Besides non-pharmacological treatment also contributes to the handling of diabetes mellitus, herbal products are widely recommended by the medical team in dealing with diabetes mellitus to prevent complications, one of which is tin tea / decoction which can control blood sugar levels, This is in accordance with the recommendations issued by The American Diabetes Association, (Dewi, 2013). The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of giving fig leaf tea on blood sugar levels in DM patients.The research design used was a quasy experiment with a pre-post test with control group design approach. Purposive sampling method with a sample of 26 partisipants who fit the inclusion criteria. The research variables were the influence of administration of tin leaf tea and blood sugar levels measured using a test glucose gauge using the easy touch brand 3 in 1. The statistical test used was Wilcoxon with a confidence level of 95%. The results of changes in the average cross blood sugar levels between before and after treatment in the treatment group were -86.7 mg / dl and the control group was 17 mg / dl, with a value of Z -3,181 with a value of p = 0.001. So it can be concluded that the content contained in tin leaf tea has the potential to help reduce blood sugar levels in DM patients
