Abstract

ABSTRAK ISPA (Infeksi Saluran Pernafasan Akut) merupakan infeksi akut yang melibatkan organ saluran pernafasan bagian atas dan saluran pernafasan bagian bawah. Tingginya angka kejadian ISPA pada balita disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor diantaranya adalah keadaan gizi (nutrisi) yang buruk, faktor daya tahan tubuh yang kurang, dan faktor perilaku keluarga. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi gambaran peran keluarga dalam upaya pencegahan ISPA berulang pada balita. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 17 Januari 2018 di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Karangploso. Desain penelitian menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, didapatkan sampel 50 responden. Variabel yang diukur pada penelitian ini adalah peran keluarga dalam upaya pencegahan ISPA berulang pada balita. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa peran keluarga yang memiliki peran keluarga yang kurang sebanyak 27 responden (54%), setengah dari responden memiliki peran keluarga cukup sebanyak 14 responden (28%), dan sebagian kecil peran keluarga baik sebanyak 9 responden (18%). Hal ini dimungkinkan karena adanya peran keluarga yang kurang baik seperti kurangnya memperhatikan kondisi fisik balita maupun lingkungan. Maka dari itu perlu adanya peningkatan peran keluarga untuk mengurangi angka kejadian dampak dari ISPA seperti memberikan edukasi kepada keluarga serta membuat keluarga lebih memperhatikan kondisi klien dengan memberikan dukungan baik secara emosional ataupun dukungan yang lain. Kata kunci : peran keluarga, pencegahan, ISPA ABSTRACT ARI (Acute Respiratory Infection) is an acute infection involving the upper respiratory tract and lower respiratory tract. The high rates of ARI occurrence in infants caused by several factors such as poor nutrition (nutrition), immune factors are lacking, and family behavior factors. The purpose of this study is to identify the description of the role of the family in the effort to prevent recurrent ARI in infants. This research was conducted on January 17, 2018 in Working Area Puskesmas Karangploso. The research design using descriptive research using purposive sampling technique, obtained a sample of 50 respondents. The variables measured in this study is the role of the family in the prevention of recurrent ARI in infants. Data collection using questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that the role of families who have less than 27 respondents (54%), and a small number of good family roles as many as 9 respondents (18%). This is possible because of the role of poor families such as the lack of attention to physical condition of children and the environment. Therefore it is necessary to increase the role of families to reduce the incidence of the impact of ARIs such as providing education to families and make the family pay more attention to the condition of the client by providing support either emotionally or other support.
