Abstract

Peran ibu berkaitan dengan kejadian stunting, diantaranya proses menyusui dan praktik pemberian makan yang tepat pada periode usia sampai dengan 36 bulan. Ibu yang kurang berperan dalam pemenuhan nutrisi menyebabkan anak berisiko stunting. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi gambaran peran ibu dalam pemberian nutrisi pada balita stunting di Desa Genengan Pakisaji Kabupaten Malang. Desain penelitian ini berupa penelitian deskriptif. Populasi penelitian yaitu ibu yang memiliki balita stunting sebanyak 72 orang. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu ibu yang memiliki balita stunting sebanyak 21 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampling dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Purposive sampling. Variabel penelitian yaitu peran ibu dalam pemberian nutrisi pada balita stunting. Analisa penelitian ini menggunakan analisis univariat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2020 di wilayah desa Genengan Pakisaji Kabupaten Malang Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden memiliki peran cukup sebanyak 13 orang (62%), sebagian kecil responden memiliki peran kurang sebanyak 5 orang (24%), dan sebagian kecil responden memiliki peran baik sebanyak 3 orang (14%). Hasil penelitian ini diduga dipengaruhi oleh pendidikan ibu dan pengalaman ibu dalam mengasuh anak. Untuk dapat meningkatkan peran ibu dalam pemberian nutrisi pada balita stunting, diharapkan ibu dapat meningkatkan pengetahuannya tentang pemberian nutrisi yang tepat untuk balita dan pengalaman dalam mengasuh anak ABSTRACTS The role of mothers is related to the incidence of stunting, including the breastfeeding process and proper feeding practices at the age period up to 36 months. Mothers who do not play a role in fulfilling nutrition put their children at risk of stunting. The purpose of this study was to identify a description of the role of mothers in providing nutrition to stunting infants in Genengan Pakisaji Village, Malang Regency. This research design is a descriptive research. The population of this research is 21 mothers who have children under five in the village of Genengan Pakisaji Malang Regency. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. The research variable was the role of the mother in providing nutrition to stunting toddlers. The results showed that most of the respondents had a sufficient role as many as 13 people (62%), a small proportion of respondents had a less role as many as 5 people (24%), and a small proportion of respondents had a good role as many as 3 people (14%). The results of this study are thought to be influenced by maternal education and experiences of mothers in caring for children. To be able to increase the role of mothers in providing nutrition to stunting toddlers, it is hoped that mothers can increase their knowledge about providing proper nutrition for toddlers and experience in caring for children
