Abstract

ABSTRAK Anak tunagrahita dikategorikan memiliki kecerdasan yang sedemikian rendahnya atau dibawah normal, sehingga untuk melihat perkembangannya memerlukan bantuan atau layanan secara spresifik termasuk dalam pendidikannya. Anak tunagrahita biasanya mengalami kesulitan mengurus diri sendiri terutama dalam hal cuci tangan. Sebagian dari mereka tidak tahu bagaimana cara cuci tangan dengan benar. Kebiasaan cuci tangan sebaiknya sudah diperkenalkan kepada anak-anak sejak dini. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan cross sectional. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah semua siswa tunagrahita kelas 4-6 di Sekolah Dasar Luar Biasa Kedungkandang Kota Malang. Metode sampling yang digunakan adalah Total Sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 15 responden. Variabel penelitian ini adalah Pengetahuan Cuci Tangan dengan Perilaku Cuci Tangan. Uji data menggunakan Lambda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan ada hubungan pengetahuan cuci tangan dengan perilaku cuci tangan pada anak tunagrahita kelas 4-6. Uji korelasi menggunakan lambda didapatkan nilai p value 0,001 (α ≤ 0,05). Faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku adalah kurangnya pemahaman pengetahuan tentang cuci tangan. Pengetahuan cuci tangan berhubungan dengan perilaku cuci tangan. Diharapkan anak tunagrahita mampu meningkatkan kembali pengetahuan cuci tangan untuk mengetahui cara cuci tangan yang baik dan benar. Kata Kunci: Pengetahuan, Perilaku, Cuci Tangan ABSTRACT Children with mental retardation are categorized as having intelligence that is so low or below normal, so to see its development requires specific assistance or services including its education. Mentally retarded children usually have difficulty taking care of themselves, especially in terms of hand washing. Some of them don’t know how to wash their hands properly. Handwashing habits should be introduced to children early The design of of this study used cross sectional. The population in this study were all mentally retarded student in grades 4-6 at the Extraordinary Elementary School in Malang City. The sampling method used was Total Sampling with a total sample of 15 respondents. The variables of this study are Knowledge of Hand Washing with Handwashing Behavior. Test data using Rank Spearmen. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between knowledge of hand washing and hand washing behavior in mentally retarded children in grades 4-5. Correlation test using Lambda is got P value 0,001 (α ≤ 0,05). Factors that influence handwashing behavior are a lack of understanding of knowledge abot hand washing. Knowledge of hand washing is related to handwashing behavior. It is expected that mentally retarded children will be able to improve their hand washing knowledge to find out how to wash their hands properly and correctly.
